The brand-new packaging not only provides swimmers with professional personal care products but also the aluminum caps can be used as massage tools to facilitate self-massage after exercise to reduce the possibility of muscle strain.
All packaging is recyclable or naturally degradable, and a refill system has been set up to achieve sustainability.
What is more, I also established a marketing position for sales strategy and marketing. I developed social platform advertising and considered the recycling system.
PROCESS - PAIN POINT FINDING
BRAND BACKGROUND
Speedo was founded in Australia in 1921 and it is a professional swimming gear company.
As swimming will bring personal care-related needs, we found this field would be the next step that Speedo can explore.
OPPORTUNITY
Through research, we found that for consumers, Speedo is professional, reliable, and innovative.
The brand should focus on supporting consumers with a healthier exercise experience to strengthen the brand's image and value further.
WHAT IF MAPPING
By having multiple "What if" ideas, I was exploring the possible directions for the personal care subline of Speedo.
And with mapping, it was more clearly organized. And I was able to know what I could do to help consumers' healthy experiences.

When we are in the water, the risk of damaging our muscles, skin, and hair is often an afterthought.
Our eyes are easily drawn to success and beauty, but can’t always see how important self-care is to the process.

What I learned the most is the mockup part.
Only when we put the real-size picture onto the mockup we can see the real scale and make the tiny but important adjustments.
And when actually combining the graphic with the shape I needed, I also made a lot of attempts and explorations as listed here.
Rapid prototyping and 1:1 size printing were what really helped me make my choice.

THE CONTENT
As we can see here, the product set includes pre-swim lotion, waterproof sunscreen, swim shampoo, and muscle relief oil. These are carefully selected personal care products. Provide
complete and professional protection and support, from preparation before swimming to cleaning after.
THE PACK
The products are packaged in special clear gel packages (please refer to the material of the laundry beads).
The packaging melts with water, providing complementary convenience while being easy to access, thus achieving sustainable development.
REFILLING
The additional refill box can not only ensure the compactness of the massage package (because the design is to make them portable so that consumers can take them to the swimming pool to use), but at the same time, more graphic design space can also provide users with more information they want to know, such as ingredients, usage description, and refill instructions.

All the characters shown on the posters are real swimmers from different countries. They are all Speedo community members.
We hope Speedo can use the power of these models and stars to influence ordinary swimmers and bring a more healthy lifestyle.
